I am a local resident and have been educated and brought up in Blackburn. I have a good understanding about local people and their dental concerns. I am married and have two beautiful boys. My wife is a local GP and we are both dedicated in attaining optimal health for our patients.
From a professional perspective, after graduating from Liverpool University in 2000, I started work in Accrington at Antley Villa Dental Practice. I have a perfectionist attitude to detail coupled with an amiable, considerate and gentle chair side manner.
To this end I have passed the ‘Key Skills Portfolio’ component of the MFGDP Faculty examination. I am also a trained and approved Appraiser for East Lancashire Primary Care Trust, which ensures that I not only surpass a fundamental professional requirement personally but also help fellow practitioners do the same.

In order to ensure my knowledge and skills are right up to date I have completed over 1,000 hours of post graduate study and training in the last five years alone and on a plethora of subjects, which include smile enhancements and makeovers, dental implants, gum disease, how teeth meet in harmony, headaches, snoring, ‘invisible’ white fillings and natural looking dentures.
I am married with four wonderful children who take up all of my free time.
I completed my dental training at the University of Manchester, qualifying in 1991. Thereafter, I worked in my native Ghana until 1999 when I returned to the UK and subsequently joined the team at Antley Villa Dental Practice in Lancashire.
I am a firm believer in lifelong learning and attend various postgraduate courses both in the UK and abroad, in all fields of dentistry helping me to remain at the cutting edge of the latest advancements.

I have completed courses in implantology, sedation, occlusion and periodontics. My main interest is inaesthetic dentistry and I am a member of the Association of Dental Implantologists and the International Team for Implantology.
Khalid and I took over the practice in February 2010 and have worked hard since then to build on the solid foundation laid down by our predecessors. We aim to surpass the high standards of clinical care already established and to further enhance the services on offer.
We are approaching exciting times for the practice and I certainly hope that you can join us, on what promises to be a remarkable journey. Looking forward to meeting you soon in person.
I was born in Beaconsfield, High Wycombe and raised in Slough along with my brother and sister. I wanted to be a dentist ever since I started working as a dental nurse at the age of 16. I continued working part-time in Slough for a total of 10 years whilst I studied for my Science A Levels, my Bachelor of Science Degree (with Honours) in Bio-Medical Sciences at University College London, my Master of Science Degree in Global Health and Development, again from UCL and even halfway through my second Post Graduate Dental Degree (with Honours) from Leeds University.
My journey from dental nurse to fully qualified dentist took me a total of 13 years. After graduating in 2016 I became a Foundation Dentist at Whitworth Dental Care and then a full-time associate at Park House Dental in Accrington.
I had closely followed the fabulous developments of Khalid, Thomas and the BVSS Team for a number of years, especially the vast community and charitable work they undertake helping 1000’s. So, when the opportunity came to potentially work alongside the BVSS team, it was one that I simply could not turn down. I firmly believe in the core values of Respect, Integrity, Passion and Excellence the practice has, along with their calm and gentle, holistic, patient-centred care model.

My journey from dental nurse to fully qualified dentist took me a total of 13 years. After graduating in 2016 I became a Foundation Dentist at Whitworth Dental Care and have been a full-time associate at Park House Dental in Accrington ever since. Whilst there, due to my significant prior dental experience, I have helped train dental therapists and other Foundation Dentists. What is more, I was recently offered a Clinical Teaching Fellow post at the University of Leeds. Although I turned it down to focus on my post graduate clinical studies, I am keen to pursue a similar opportunity if it presents itself in the future. I am already providing teeth straightening systems and am furthering my continual professional development by completing a 1-year certificate course in Cosmetic Dentistry under the tutelage of the highly respected and world-renowned Dr Chris Orr.
I have closely followed the fabulous developments of Khalid, Thomas and the BVSS Team for a number of years now, especially their vast community and charitable work they undertake. This is because I too believe in giving back and is something that I learnt a lot about during my MSc. Which is why I was very active during my student days to work with some international relief organisations to help 1000’s of orphans around the world as a result of my fund raising. So, when the opportunity came to potentially work alongside the BVSS team, it was one that I simply could not turn down.
I can’t tell you how much I am looking forward to working at BVSS, because I firmly believe in the core values of Respect, Integrity, Passion and Excellence the practice has, along with their calm and gentle, holistic, patient-centred care model. I can’t wait to build on the experience I have already gained in treating nervous patients and I am passionate about providing ethical comprehensive patient care for all my BVSS patients. I am very much looking forward to meeting you all in the coming months.
At least a 30-minute appointment with one of our ‘Calm & Gentle’ dentists who will carefully listen to your frustrations and goals before informing you on how, and in what ways, Calm & Gentle Dentistry can improve your dental health.
Following the judgement free initial conversation, your dentist will then give you a complete dental assessment to establish the condition of your teeth, gums, mouth and smile using various high definition digital radiographs (x rays) and high resolution digital photos available to view together within seconds. They will then explain each report in jargon free language to assist complete understanding. And finally, we can then present you with several options to help you to achieve your dream smile.
